One of the biggest advantages of Personal Contract Hire (PCH) is that you can enjoy driving a brand-new car without worrying about its future value or the hassle of selling it when you're ready for your next vehicle. At the end of your agreement, you simply return the vehicle, subject to the terms of your contract, and you're free to choose your next lease.
Most Personal Contract Hire agreements run for 24, 36 or 48 months, giving you the flexibility to choose a contract that suits your driving needs. In some circumstances, your finance provider may allow your agreement to be extended. If you'd like to discuss your options, our team will be happy to help.
Before your lease begins, you'll choose an annual mileage allowance based on the number of miles you expect to drive each year. This helps us provide an accurate quotation and ensures your monthly payments reflect your expected vehicle usage. If your circumstances change during your agreement, mileage adjustments may be possible depending on your finance provider, so it's always worth speaking to us if your driving habits change.
If you exceed your agreed mileage allowance when your contract ends, an excess mileage charge will apply in accordance with your finance agreement. Our team will explain these charges before you proceed, helping you choose a mileage allowance that's appropriate for your needs.
To make budgeting even easier, many customers choose to add a maintenance package to their agreement. Maintenance can help cover routine servicing, replacement tyres (subject to the agreement), batteries, exhausts and other scheduled maintenance, giving you greater peace of mind and helping to spread the cost of maintaining your vehicle.
As with any leased vehicle, you'll need to arrange fully comprehensive motor insurance for the duration of your agreement. When your lease comes to an end, the vehicle should be returned in line with the BVRLA Fair Wear and Tear Guidelines, ensuring that normal day-to-day use is taken into account when the vehicle is inspected.
If you have any questions about Personal Contract Hire, our experienced leasing consultants are always available to explain your options and help you find the agreement that's right for you.
